Turismo Educativo
O projeto está vinculado à Coordenação de Operações Turísticas e apresenta uma proposta educativa diferenciada com estratégias lúdico-pedagógicas na rede pública municipal para discentes do ensino básico, incluindo o público da educação infantil e do ensino fundamental (1º a 9º ano), visando o conhecimento da cultura e história, bem como elementos naturais que compõem e fazem parte do contexto de São Luís, despertando a valorização da identidade e do sentimento de pertencimento nos discentes na relação com a cidade que vivem.
A operacionalização das atividades propostas pelo Turismo Educativo é executada por estagiário dos cursos de graduação em Turismo, Letras, Pedagogia, Serviço Social, Teatro, História e Educação Artísticos que se encontram entre os 4º e 7º períodos, advindos de faculdades particulares e universidades públicas.
Para participarem do projeto os estudantes passam por um processo de recrutamento, nos quais são selecionados e treinados por um período de dois meses, a fim de que estejam aptos a desenvolverem palestras sobre turismo e cidadania, apresentação de teatro de fantoches, exibição de vídeos, dinâmica sobre o tema além da realização de City Tour pelo Centro Histórico com acompanhamento de um guia de turismo.
Nas palestras sobre turismo e cidadania, ministradas aos alunos do 6º ao 9º ano são abordados aspectos conceituais sobre turismo, turista, atrativos turísticos, oferta turística, dinâmica do efeito multiplicador do turismo, importância ambiental, cultural e econômica da atividade turística e, ainda enfatiza, a relação da cidadania com o turismo, demonstrando como os cidadãos podem de forma responsável e comprometida, cuidar e valorizar a cidade que vivem.

The project is linked to the Tourism Operations Coordination and presents a differentiated educational proposal with playful-pedagogical strategies in the municipal public network for students of basic education, including the public of kindergarten and elementary education (1st to 9th grade), aiming at the knowledge of culture and history, as well as natural elements that make up and are part of the context of São Luís, awakening the appreciation of identity and the feeling of belonging in students in the relationship with the city they live in.
The operationalization of the activities proposed by Educational Tourism is carried out by an intern from the undergraduate courses in Tourism, Letters, Pedagogy, Social Work, Theater, History and Artistic Education that are between the 4th and 7th periods, coming from private colleges and public universities.
To participate in the project, students go through a recruitment process, in which they are selected and trained for two months, so that they can develop lectures on tourism and citizenship, puppet theater presentations, video exhibitions, dynamics on the theme, in addition to a City Tour through the Historic Center accompanied by a tour guide.
In the lectures on tourism and citizenship, given to students from the 6th to the 9th year, conceptual aspects of tourism, tourist, tourist attractions, tourist offer, dynamics of the multiplier effect of tourism, the environmental, cultural, and economic importance of tourist activity are addressed, and also emphasizes, the relationship between citizenship and tourism, demonstrating how citizens can, in a responsible and committed way, care for and value the city they live in.
